Joe never had to wonder if he’d made the team. This award helps make sure a kid never has to wonder if college is within reach, either.
The Award
A scholarship toward college
Each year, the Joe Macedo Soccer Foundation awards a scholarship to help cover the cost of college to one graduating senior who reflects Joe’s spirit — strong academics, genuine sportsmanship, and a positive impact on their team and school community.
Eligibility
Who can apply
Open to graduating seniors in North Orange County who:
Play club or high school soccer
Have been accepted to at least one college or university
Carry at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
Award funds are paid directly to the college, not to the student, once enrollment is confirmed
How to Nominate
Nominated, not self-submitted
Coaches, teachers, and athletic directors can nominate a student-athlete through our nomination form — including a short statement on why they reflect Joe’s spirit, on the field and off.
